Client Modification Policy
The policy fits in one sentence: mods that change how the game looks or performs are welcome; mods that change what you can do are bannable. An unmodified vanilla client operated by hand is the baseline - anything that lets you act faster, see more, or reach further than that is out.
Welcome
| Mod type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Performance | Sodium, Lithium, ImmediatelyFast, and friends |
| Visual & cosmetic | Shaders, resource packs, capes, skin mods |
| Interface | FPS counters, armour HUDs showing what vanilla already tells you |
| Minimaps | Fine without ore, cave or entity radar |
| Accessibility | Colour-blind aids, subtitles, controller support |
Bannable
These change what you can do, and every one of them is a bannable offence:
- X-Ray in any form - mods, texture packs, freecam used to scout through blocks, and minimap ore or entity radar
- Fullbright and gamma modification - darkness is content here, especially in the Abyss
- Fast Totem and any totem-swap or inventory macro
- Autoclickers and click macros of any speed
- Kill aura, aim assist, reach extension, hit-through-wall
- Movement hacks - flight, speed, no-fall, jesus, phase
- Fast-break, nuker, auto-mine, auto-farm bots
- Auto-anything in combat - auto-shield, auto-pot, auto-pearl
The list is not exhaustive and does not need to be: the baseline above is the rule, the list is just its most common shapes. Renaming a mod or hiding it inside a โutilityโ pack changes nothing.
Suspect someone? Report them.
You are encouraged to report players you suspect of using unfair client
modifications - that is what /report <player> <reason> is for. You do not
need proof, screenshots or certainty: every single action by a player is
logged and stored forever, so claims can be corroborated against the
record long after the moment has passed. A suspicion honestly described is
enough to act on.
