Player shops ๐ช
Vendors at spawn buy and sell at fixed rates. A shop lets you sell to other players, at your price, whether or not you are online.
One shop per clan claim - a clan that has extended its territory (see Clans) can run one shop per claim.
What you need
Both fixtures come from the Shopwright at spawn:
| Fixture | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Shop Storeroom | 300g | A bonded barrel. Holds the stock you are selling |
| Display Cabinet | 75g | Shows one ware at one price and takes the coin |
Opening a shop
- Place a Shop Storeroom anywhere in your clanโs land. That founds the shop - there is no command to run.
- Put what you want to sell inside it, like any barrel.
- Place a Display Cabinet nearby, within 16 blocks of that first storeroom.
- Right-click the cabinet holding the wares. The cabinet takes the item, and the amount you were holding becomes the bundle size.
- Look at the cabinet and run
/shop price <gold>.
Thatโs it. The cabinet now shows the item floating above it, the price, and whether it is In stock, Low stock, or Sold out.
Buying from someoneโs shop
Right-click a cabinet to buy one bundle. Shift-right-click to buy as many as will fit in a stack. You do not need to be in the ownerโs clan, and the land being claimed does not stop you - a shopfront is public even when the ground under it is not.
The storeroom itself stays private. Only the owning clan can open it.
Running your shop
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/shop | Status: storerooms, cabinets, stock and takings |
/shop price <gold> | Price the cabinet you are looking at |
/shop bundle <n> | How many items one purchase gives |
/shop name <text> | Rename the shop (shows on the storeroom labels) |
/shop notify [on|off] | Your own sale notices, on or off |
/shop close | Dissolve the shop; fixtures and stock drop on the floor |
Any member of the clan can stock, price and manage the shop.
Takings go to the clan balance, not to a person - so the shop keeps earning while every member is offline.
Sale notices
When someone buys from your clanโs shop, online members get a quiet line:
Steve has bought 32x iron ingot for 192 gold.
Buying is one right-click per bundle, so a customer clearing a shelf would otherwise fire a message per click. Sales by the same person from the same cabinet are gathered up and sent as one line every few seconds - the number you see is the running total, not a single click.
Notices are on by default. Turn your own off with /shop notify off.
It only affects you, never the rest of the clan.
Growing
- Need more shelf space? Place more storerooms, up to 6. They pool into one stock, so a cabinet sells from all of them at once.
- Up to 12 cabinets per shop.
- Every fixture must stay within 16 blocks of the first storeroom you placed.
Prices
Your price has to sit above what a vendor would pay for the same goods, and below 4x the itemโs value. Under the floor, a shop would just be a machine for turning goods into vendor gold; the ceiling keeps a monopoly honest.
If a cabinet stops selling with โprice is out of rangeโ, the itemโs value changed under it - reprice it.
Things worth knowing
- You cannot buy from your own clanโs shop. Right-clicking your own cabinet shows stock, price and lifetime sales instead.
- Hoppers can fill a storeroom, but nothing can drain one. Stock only leaves through a sale.
- Breaking a storeroom that still has stock is refused. Empty it first.
- The last storeroom will not break while cabinets are still standing -
use
/shop close. - Storerooms look like ordinary barrels. The floating label above them is what tells them apart.
- If your clan disbands, its shop goes with it.
