Big John's Speaker Guide

Put away those tired note blocks and hear the new BlossomBeat sound systems!

Three to choose from and I'll explain the differences.

The Micro System Available for 2000g.

Just place one down and tune in for great songs from Blossom radio.

It stands alone: no speakers, no subs, no party tiles.

Easy on the purse!

Micro Stations

Funky Groove, Lofi, Calm, Synthwave, and our own Blossom Radio talk show.

Volume runs up to medium, which suits a camp or a cabin well enough.

System V Available for 3000g.

A quieter mixer, and a cheaper one. It takes the same T8s, S15s and party tiles as the System X, up to six speakers.

Volume stops at medium: this one is for a room, not a field.

System V Music

Its selection leans ambient, and most of it plays nowhere else: Sneaky, Carnival, Soft and Forest Ambience.

The forest even changes its birdsong for a night chorus after dusk.

System X Mixer from 4000g.

The full club rig. It drives up to ten speakers, reaches further, and runs all the way to high volume.

A starter set with two T8s and an S15 comes to 6200g.

System X Music

Club, M-Pop, Rock, Jazz, Ambient and Funky Electronica.

Club and M-Pop play on the System X alone, and they are the ones that light a floor properly.

Villagers adore M-Pop. Do watch.

Extending Your Setup

Place speakers within 50 blocks of your mixer and they join it on their own.

The System X takes ten of them. The System V takes six.

Any beyond that will not connect.

Optimal Placement

The T8 full-range speakers follow the Left or Right side of the mix. Right click one to switch the side it takes.

Space them evenly across the room for a clean, balanced sound.

The S15 Subwoofer

Subs carry further than the tops do, so the low end reaches you first as you walk in.

Place one or two below the listening space for a full, even sound.

Party Mode

Both the System X and the System V drive BlossomBeat party tiles.

They light and flip in time with the music, and rest dark between phrases.

The Micro cannot.

Tile Styles

Choose Amber, Verdant or Blood Moon from the Lighting menu.

Each carries a lit shade, a resting shade and one in between, so a floor breathes with the music.

Spacing

Only one System X or System V every 100 blocks, and keep 32 blocks clear of any Micro.

Two mixers stood close would fight over the same speakers.

A Good Setup

Four T8s spaced evenly around the room, and two S15 subs low and out of the way.

Add party tiles if you are playing Club or M-Pop.

That is a night out.

Using Your System

Right click any unit to open its menu: genre, volume, and lighting.

Changes take effect within 8 seconds.
